“Having not boxed before I was quite apprehensive initially. Naomi put me at ease immediately explaining all the moves and the technique. We work on shadow boxing, using the bags and then in the ring boxing on pads. In between the rounds of boxing its press ups, burpies, star jumps and squat thrusts to name but a few. I saw results almost immediately! My central core muscles was the first place I noticed a difference then my legs and arm muscles. Not only did it improve my fitness, helped me lose weight, it makes me feel great too!
 
Naomi’s supportive, encouraging, firm and fair approach is brilliant! She makes me work hard and I love every minute of it. I have seen great results, I really enjoy every session and the next session never comes around fast enough it’s a real testament to Naomi’s knowledge, passion and drive for boxing.
 
I can’t recommend boxing and training with Naomi at Girls in Gloves enough. In fact so much so I am up to 2/3 sessions a week now!”

She teaches you the technique behind boxing which is vital for us girls as you don’t get that when you go to a normal Boxercise class. “I wanted to start boxing for a while but always felt a little intimidated by it so when I came across GIG I knew it was something I had to do – it sounded perfect, a class for women ran by a woman. The first class itself was physically exhausting but amazing – I really felt like there wasn’t a muscle in my body that I hadn’t worked out! I am now in my second stage and I still get stiff after every class, mainly because we learn a new technique each week.  I love the fact this isn’t just another keep fit class, you can’t just copy a move, you really have to listen, think and apply what you’ve learnt which means that no two classes are the same and there’s no danger of getting physically or mentally bored. Naomi is a tough teacher but absolutely lovely. She’s always so encouraging and really takes time to explain why and how we get things right whilst still making the class fun”.
